Haikus Are Rad! Yes!
They Are So Much Fun to Write!
I Will Share Some Now!

While working on an art project recently, i embarked on an adventure with haiku. Well, actually, i embarked on an adventure with rhyming couplets, but my usual skill with iambic pentameter failed me. so naturally, i jumped from shakespeare to basho. now i don't know much about the techniques or deeper meanings of haiku. most of my relevant knowledge comes from reading the beat poets, or books about them. which is to say, i don't know squat. but i like the idea of having to fit an idea in a tiny structured word prison. 5 -7 -5, baby.

rhyming is my friend.
but spellwork only, i guess.
damn you, charmed. damn you.

haikus are awesome.
and much easier to write
they don't have to rhyme.

construction paper
glue sticks, scissors, paint, brushes.
what else do i need?

when i make artwork
and i'm making it for you
i try much harder.

all my coworkers
have college degrees, and yet
work in food service.

the apocalypse
a topic my family
discusses at length

my heart soars and skips
i hear classic rock guitar
i wish i was there.

sometimes food service
seems a noble job to have.
sometimes it just sucks.

and the winchester collection...

being a fangirl
takes a lot of damned effort.
so much to absorb.

the boys winchester
saving people, hunting things
breaking fangirls' hearts

jensen and jared
known together as j2
boy, do i ship it!

god, jensen, your face
it's stupid and causing me
to lose my damn mind.

wincest may seem wrong
but trust the crazy fangirls
we're on to something!

padalecki, fuck.
stop being so damned pretty.
jensen might get mad.

supernatural
is it just a tv show?
top-tier brainwashing?

kripke is no joss
but he's more of a fangirl
than i'll ever be.
